Mens Rea & Actus Reus
Mens Rea is Latin for “Guilty mind“. To commit a crime you need to have a particular state of mind. You have to act with a guilty at the exact time of the crime.
Actus Reus means criminal act. You can’t commit a crime without doing anything. But, if the crime was not successful it’s called an attempt. An attempt involves two factors: a guilty mind and the act.
